The Emir of the Tabuk region, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, received in his office in the emirate today the Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in the region, Eng. Atwi.
During the meeting, Prince Fahd bin Sultan received an introductory report on the work of the Waqaa Center in Tabuk, including the center’s specialization and strategic objectives, in accordance with the Ministry’s approved policies to combat pests and animal diseases.
The Emir of Tabuk blessed the launch of the work and empowerment of the Waqaa Center in the region, appreciating the care and attention given by the leadership to the environment, water and agriculture sectors, stressing that the region is rich in various natural resources that require work to preserve, develop and sustain them.
He praised the vital and important role played by the Ministry to support the beneficiaries of its services from farmers and livestock owners, noting the programs offered by the Ministry’s branch in the region in order to preserve the environment, stressing the importance of intensifying awareness-raising initiatives that contribute to combating animal pests and diseases, in addition to the need to work to activate partnerships With various entities to enable the center to benefit from the best technologies, systems, research and studies in areas related to pest and disease control.
For his part, the director of the Waqaa Center in the region expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Emir of Tabuk for his support and follow-up of all the center’s work in the region.
