The Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, received today (Saturday) at the Prime Minister’s residence in the capital, New Delhi, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and the Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa.
During the meeting, a number of issues were reviewed, including Indian diversity within the framework of the country’s national constitution with its civilized principles.
After that, the Indian Islamic Cultural Center organized a celebration of the visit of the League delegation, a lecture by Dr. Al-Issa, in the presence of senior Islamic religious leaders in India, including muftis, scholars and religious leaders from various Indian religious and intellectual diversity.
Al-Issa dealt with important milestones in Islamic values, reviewing multiple models for their civilizational advancement, building bridges of understanding and peace between civilizations, and strengthening friendship and cooperation between nations and peoples, stressing that a Muslim is guided by his faith to absorb the wisdom of the Almighty Creator in human diversity.
He stressed that the Islamic component in India is proud of its patriotism and state institutions, and its affiliation with the Indian nation, stressing the need for religious awareness to be a tool for promoting understanding, coexistence and cooperation with mutual appreciation and love.
For his part, the National Security Adviser welcomed the Secretary General of the League, stressing that the only way to deal with differences is dialogue under the umbrella of coexistence and common interests.
