About 350 Umrah companies, licensed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, are preparing to launch the new Umrah season for the next year 1445 AH, coinciding with the start of the arrival of Umrah pilgrims from outside the Kingdom at the end of this week.
The Ministry confirmed that the level of performance of Umrah companies and institutions will be assessed on a quarterly basis, according to the following criteria: Achieving the minimum quarterly target, according to the classification category for each company, and that the percentage of pilgrims’ satisfaction with the services provided to them by the company not be less than 90%, and that it should not be less than 90%. The percentage of the Umrah company’s commitment to the controls and instructions is about 90%, provided that at the end of each quarter, the level of performance of companies and institutions is evaluated and their classification is upgraded or downgraded according to what is actually achieved from the targeted numbers of Umrah pilgrims.
She explained that, at the end of the Umrah season, the level of performance of the companies will be assessed according to the numbers that have actually been achieved over the season in a cumulative manner, according to which the level of classification due to each company and institution in the next Umrah season will be determined. The Ministry indicated that the targets and evaluation rates are subject to modification, according to what the Ministry deems to achieve the interest of work and its strategic objectives.
And the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stressed on all companies the need to adhere to the time programs for the arrival of pilgrims, and to implement the service packages agreed upon in the contracts related to housing, transportation and subsistence in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Madinah.
