Under the auspices of the Acting Emir of Jazan Region, Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad, tomorrow (Wednesday) the activities of the International Day for the Preservation of the Mangrove Forest Ecosystem, organized by the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification, will start.
A group of international and local experts in the field of mangrove forests will participate in it, and it will last for two days at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center in Jizan.
Through this event, the center aims to share with the world in finding effective solutions to preserve and protect this natural treasure.
During the event, many axes for the development of mangrove forests will be discussed, many dialogue sessions will be held in this regard, various projects will be launched in the Jizan mangrove region, in addition to the launch of a campaign to plant 10,000 mangrove seedlings in the Al-Sawarmah site in Samtah Governorate, in addition to many activities and theatrical performances to introduce mangroves.
