The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has received thanks for its support for the Safer oil tanker salvage project.
This came in a message received by the Kingdom’s permanent delegation to the United Nations in New York, from the Coordinator for Political Affairs in Yemen, David Gresley, and from the Regional Director for Arab Countries at the United Nations Humanitarian Program (UNDP), Abdullah Al-Dardari.
The Kingdom also received thanks from the Administrator of the United Nations Development Program, Achim Steiner, for its additional donation, which it announced in the amount of $8 million, to be added to the $10 million previously donated in this regard, during Steiner’s meeting with the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations in New York, in which several points were addressed regarding updates on the operational plan for the floating oil tank “Safer”.
